"GadgetShow" is one of tradition of ISWC, people gathering with their gadgets and showing demos each other.
It have originally started as "HackFest" for introducing their hand-crafted "Wearable Computers" and sharing know-hows for creating them, because there were no commercial wearable computers in that era. Afterward, it have been renamed to GadgetShow, and accepted every kinds of wearable-related demonstrations from research-paper to funny gadgets (walk-in demonstrations were traditionally welcomed).
In this year (2015), GadgetShow will evolve to "GadgetShow Plus".
- Plus 1: It will be expanded as integral session of UbiComp/ISWC conference. All kind of UbiComp/Wearable-related demos are welcome.
- Plus 2: Short teaser of each demo (shot by "wearable reporting system") will be shown on main screen of conference venue prior to 2-hour demo session.
- Plus 3: Some research projects of dawning-era will be demonstrated as "reprint exhibition".
