Venue

The symposium will be held on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, mostly in the HUB Student Union building. Just north of downtown Seattle, the University of Washington campus occupies 684 acres bordering Lake Washington. The on campus conference headquarters, nearby restaurants, shops, and services are all within comfortable walking distance. Driving Directions to the University of Washington

Driving on I-5, take the NE 45th Street Exit and drive eastbound (towards the University of Washington) on NE 45th Street to 17th Avenue NE (approx. 1 mile). Turn right onto 17th Avenue NE. Continue to the entrance gatehouse (Gate 2). Daily parking permits will be available for $7.00 per day payable at the entrance gatehouse. Regulations require all government vehicles to pay the standard campus parking fees. Inform the gatehouse attendant you want to park in the Padelford parking garage. The attendant will be able to give you directions from the gatehouse to the parking garage. From the Padelford parking garage, you will proceed up the escalators to Stevens Way. Turn left, and proceed approximately 1/2 block and the HUB will be across Stevens Way.

Travel

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is located 30 minutes south of campus. Airport shuttle services and taxis provide transportation between the airport and downtown hotels or the University area; tickets and information are available on the baggage claim level of the airport. Visitor parking is available on the UW campus for $7.00 per day.

Visiting Canada?

The Canadian border is just two and one half hours away and the cities of Vancouver and Victoria are within easy traveling distance. You may want to plan a day to visit them.
