ISWC 2011 is seeking interesting and engaging videos/demonstrations of wearable computing technologies. Proposers are invited to submit research videos/demonstrations under the general topics of the conference. Relevant topics include (but are not limited to) the following:

Submission (General)

ISWC videos/demos combine a video presentation/live research demonstration at the conference with a short paper describing the contribution that will appear in the extended abstracts in the conference proceedings.

All videos/demonstration proposals must be submitted in CAMERA-READY form by MAY 8th. Accepted submissions will be collected in an adjunct conference proceedings.

Please use IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Formatting template as follows:

IMPORTANT: ONLY PDF files will be accepted for paper submission. Ensure that the paper submission is in CAMERA-READY form. Please e-mail your submission directly to the chair.

Video submission and presentation

Each research video must be accompanied by a short paper describing the key research contribution. The paper should be written in a way that it can be understood by readers who have not or will not see the video and must be no longer than 1 page in IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Format.

To be accepted, a video must be of an appropriate length for the content. We recommend videos to be no longer than 8 minutes.

It must contain no material subject to copyright (i.e., that the authors cannot grant ISWC 2011 the right to redistribute freely), and must be easily comprehensible to English speakers.

An accepted video must be standalone, i.e., the video itself (with audio soundtrack or subtitles) must describe the work sufficiently, without requiring the viewer to read the abstract. Videos will be judged primarily on their communication of interesting research content (assuming appropriate technical quality).

Authors MUST submit A URL TO THE VIDEO (NOT THE VIDEO ITSELF!) and a PDF file of the accompanying short paper to . Videos must be submitted in MPEG (MPEG1/2) or AVI (MPEG-4).

Please e-mail your submission directly to the chair, Daniel Ashbrook ().
