Information related to Template changes

Last update: 13 June 2019, 10:52 (BST)

ACM requires a template change of all accepted UbiComp / ISWC 2019 submissions to the new ACM SIGCHI Master Article template. This applies to all submissions including adjunct proceedings (i.e. for workshops, posters, & demos). This does not apply to articles submitted to or published by IMWUT for which you need to follow the IMWUT author guidelines.

My submission was already accepted, does this change affect me?

Yes, all accepted submissions have to use the new template for the Camera-Ready-Version.

The new template has impact on the page limit of my submission.

We are aware that in some cases, the new format may have an impact on the length of your submission. At this point, all page limits remain valid as advertised in the original CfP. In edge cases, track chairs may decide on a case by case basis after conversion to the new template.

I was advised to use the ACM Extended Abstract format in the CfP email/ website

The changes described here affect all UbiComp/ ISWC 2019 submissions and overrule information found elsewhere (unless you've been directly advised by the responsible chair). If you are uncertain or have any questions, please contact the responsible chairs.

Where can I find the new template

The latest version of the ACM SIGCHI Master Article template can be found on the ACM website or using one of the links below:

Additional information for Latex/ Overleaf users

acmart.cls, the official ACM Master article template for LaTeX, consolidates 8 individual ACM journal and ACM proceedings templates. ISWC/UbiComp 2019 is going to use the ACM proceedings templates SIGCHI. Please ensure you are using the correct template by replacing

\documentclass[sigconf,authordraft]{acmart}

with

\documentclass[sigchi,authordraft]{acmart}

Additional information for Microsoft Word users

Microsoft Word users are currently advised to use these interim templates which provides the final layout for ACM articles, but do not have any of the functionality built in to capture accessibility and metadata tagging. Please download the interim word template. Please use the interim sample.pdf to double check your formatting.
