Call for Demos

Demos are an important part of the ISWC 2014 program. They provide researchers with an opportunity to present their latest, cutting-edge research. Demos can cover preliminary or exploratory work within the field of wearable computing, report about smaller projects or results that are still maturing towards a full paper submission, or present any other research that would encourage discussion.

Instructions for demos

The ISWC 2014 demo submissions are 4-page (including all figures and references) extended abstracts (Latex template, Word template). Submissions must not be anonymized. Additional material is also required, as detailed below. All accepted submissions will be included in ISWC 2014 Adjunct Proceedings and in the ACM Digital Library. Please make sure that your submitted abstract complies with all the formatting guidelines and is ready for publication, since there will be no time to make major revisions.

ISWC 2014 demo submissions should contain the following documents:

Demo submissions (i.e. the abstract, the description of technical requirements and envisioned interaction, and optionally (but highly recommended) a video) should be submitted electronically through the ISWC 2014 & UBICOMP 2014 Online Submission System (PCS). Links to online files (video, images, etc.) can also be included in the PDF submission. Other files (e.g., slide presentations, hi-res images) can also be combined with the demo supplement into a single ZIP archive. These additional materials are for the purposes of review only and will not be published (i.e., only the 4-page extended abstract will be published in the ISWC 2014 Adjunct Proceedings). Upon acceptance you will be required to install your demonstration in the conference venue and to keep it running for at least one session (subject to the final conference schedule).
