A Pilot Study using Covert Visuospatial Attention as an EEG- based Brain Computer Interface to Enhance AR Interaction
In this work we propose a prototype which combines an existing augmented reality (AR) headset, the Microsoft HoloLens 2, with an electroencephalogram (EEG) Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) system based on covert visuospatial attention (CVSA) – a process of focusing attention on different regions of the visual field without overt eye movements. In this work we did not rely on any stimulus-driven responses. Fourteen participants were able to test the system over the course of two days. To the best of our knowledge, this system is the first AR EEG-BCI integrated prototype that explores the complementary features of the AR headset like HoloLens 2 and the CVSA paradigm.

A 10-Year Review of the Methods and Purposes of On-Skin Interface Research in ACM SIGCHI
This paper aims to organize research from Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer–Human Interaction (ACM SIGCHI) associated conferences that have significant impact on on-skin interfaces. We performed a systematic review of the ACM database and identified 68 on-skin related publications between January 2010 to May 2021. The publications are categorized, evaluated, and compared over time and by conference. Citation impact of each paper is assessed revealing trends in the field and reflected onto the general community. Through extensive data collection, we present a thorough analysis of on-skin interfaces’ development in the past decade.

A Method to Manipulate Subjective Time by using Tactile Stimuli of Wearable Device
There are situations where it would be desirable to manipulate the subjective time, and many studies have proposed methods to manipulate the subjective time for purposes such as reducing waiting time. However, it isn't easy to use previous methods in various situations because most of them use visual and auditory information. This study proposes a method to manipulate the subjective time by tactile stimuli of wrist-worn devices. Since wrist-worn devices such as smartwatches are widely used and can present tactile stimuli at any time, our method can be used without blocking visual or auditory perception channels. We designed tactile stimuli presentation methods that change the number of stimuli. The evaluation result clarified the elements of tactile stimuli that intentionally changed the subjective time and confirmed that our method could change the subjective time by about 21% (from -3% to 18%). Since few studies focused on the phenomenon that the subjective time changes depending on tactile stimuli of information devices, our study can contribute to designing information devices and user experiences.

A 10-Year Review of the Methods and Purposes of On-Skin Interface Research in ACM SIGCHI
This paper aims to organize research from Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer–Human Interaction (ACM SIGCHI) associated conferences that have significant impact on on-skin interfaces. We performed a systematic review of the ACM database and identified 68 on-skin related publications between January 2010 to May 2021. The publications are categorized, evaluated, and compared over time and by conference. Citation impact of each paper is assessed revealing trends in the field and reflected onto the general community. Through extensive data collection, we present a thorough analysis of on-skin interfaces’ development in the past decade.
